About the Job

The Regional Channel Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, managing and inspiring channel partners in his/her region to market and sell Ooma’s line of VoIP services.  This person will build relationships at all levels of a mulit-tiered channel, helping varying types of channel partners optimize for Ooma’s solutions and assisting partner’s field resources in closing business.  Must live near Chicago Illinois


Primary Responsibility / Percent of Time Spent on Task (1-100%)                                                         

  • Drive revenue by recruiting, on-boarding, inspiring and selling with channel partners including but not limited to Master Agents, agents, resellers and strategic partners. (55%)
  • Work with marketing to drive effective campaigns that stimulate partner sales activity. Work with partners to execute these demand generations campaigns. (10%)
  • Identify, qualify, close and onboard new partners who will deliver sales results (10%)
  • Accurately forecast sales revenues for the region (5%)
  • Participate in joint sales calls with partner to help close opportunities (10%)
  • Provide partner and customer feedback to Channel team and cross functional teams in order to drive necessary change in product, services and internal operations to best support customer and channel partner community. (10%)

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements typically required for someone to be performing fully (competent) in this job:


Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience

Type of Experience: Experience in indirect sales models and Channel.

Special Certifications (CPA, Etc.) -

Language Skills: English, Spanish is a Plus

Technical Competencies: VoIP

Skills and Ability:

  • Proven understanding and success in sales deployment strategies to maximize results
  • Has exceeded sales targets consistently
  • Experience driving successful results with varying types of channel partners

Information Systems (People Soft, etc.): Salesforce, Excel (spreadsheet), Powerpoint (presentation software)
