Telephony/VOIP QA Engineer (Contract) - San Francisco Bay Area location ONLY

About the position:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about playing a critical role in our QA organization.


You will be responsible for testing and validating all aspects of the Products and Services offered by Ooma.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Purchasing equipment and services from a variety of vendors 
  • Coordinate service activation and make billing arrangements 
  • Work with product managers to gather test requirements 
  • Set up a lab where devices and features can be demonstrated to stakeholders 
  • Develop test plans and execute end-to-end test plans 
  • Document test results and publish reports

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of testing experience in Telephony/VOIP applications areas
  • Experience with setup, configuration, and management of Telephony/VOIP equipment.
  • Experience testing hardware devices and client-server systems
  • experience with Configure and setting up POTS system and connected device like Alarm Panels, PERS, Door/Gate Entry systems.
  • Connectivity and configuration of the end devices connected over modems
  • Experience of writing test plans and test cases, including the designs of test scripts
  • Must have good communication (verbal and written) skills in English Language



Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS/CE or a related technical field is desirable but not a must if the skill/expertise requested aligns with the position
