About the role:

 

SREs that are innovators who are knowledgeable about the latest technologies and trends. We use a range of tools and technologies to ensure our entire technology portfolio is highly available and delivers an amazing experience for all Ooma customers.

 

This role is part of an effort to become an international team of SREs to meet the demands of our worldwide customers.  Along with becoming an expert in the applications that run our business and working alongside Development, QA and other SREs, this individual will assist the team in maintaining data centers located in the EU. Therefore, occasional travel will be required.

Preferred candidates will have the following:

  • Production (7x24) support experience in a large environment as: Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Senior Linux System Administration
  • Experience in Data Center Operations or Network Operations
  • Software development experience: Python, Ruby, Bash
  • Configuration management experience (of a large environment): Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Containerization/Orchestration experience: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of monitoring best practices using: ELK stack, Prometheus, Nagios, or Grafana
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as: AWS, GCP, or other
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

 

Nice to haves:

  • Additional experience with DevOps tools, like: JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo
  • DB Experience++
  • VoIP Experience
